Garden Club

Mission:
Strive to engage  in innovative, “hands-on” group learning experiences that promote a love of gardening, develop an appreciation for the environment, and cultivate the mind

Applications will be passed the second week of the school year. They are due the 1^st Monday after Labor Day (Sept 14^th, 2020). Our club CAPS at 50 students. Club is open for grades 3-5.


Meetings:
Mondays 3:45 to 4:45 in room @ room #1022, 4^th grade MOD


Some of the things going on in the club include:

• Students will paint planting pots for possible fundraising project
• Work on a school beautification project by planting flower beds, upkeep them
• Learn about science
• Start a vermi-composting bin
• Responsible for the upkeep of our indoor plants
• Start an herb/vegetable garden with the help of 2 Master Gardeners volunteers
• Attend a field trip to The Mercer Botanical Gardens May 21^st,2020 – we hope to make it every year
